These images were created throughout the 2006 year and function as a visual-poetic journal of my dialogue with nature during the year. These are poems and the "words" are precisely the parts of the body of Mother Earth . . . her body, her meaningful dance.

Visionary Artworks

Over the past month TroyBlum and I have been working on artworks that could be classified as visionary or "imaginary". They pertain to memories, dreams, the realm of the senses, abstract ideas, and imagined worlds. Here are some stages of a painting I'm doing about the ocean at night and its pungent mystical spell.

Coffee House Drawings

Troy and I spent several days in early August sketching at coffee houses. I worked on a scroll format. One long roll of paper for continuous elongate drawing. Sometimes I want the process of drawing to be unbroken and unframed - just recording.
